With the author onboard, MV Doulos arrives in Sydney on August 21, 2008 for her final visit!

Since 1977 the Doulos has covered the globe and well over 22 million people have visited this remarkable and historic ship. Now she will head for a new home where she will be restored and become a museum as well as a hotel and continue in various forms of ministry as she has been doing being purchased in 1977 by “GBA” or “Gutte Buche Fur Alle”, today operating as “Operation Mobilazation” being a Christian Outreach Ministry and is well known for its book shop on its ships!

Although details of her final ports after she leaves Singapore will be filled in later, right now we can view her many ports of call and possibly remember the day you were on this fine historic ship, or even when you had a very special Spiritual encounter, as so many did over the years!

Below is a complete list of ports since the Doulos departed from her refit in Genoa on February 28, 1978 when she sailed for Bremen where she was completed, staffed and fully stocked with supplies and books. She finally departed for Le Havre France on June 3 and commenced her remarkable role!

Currently as it stands of this day, February 12, 2010, OM has sold her to Indian breakers, even though there are Believers, Christians who wish to buy her. Worse still, Alang is the cesspit of the earth and I suggest that you read my “Save the MV Doulos Campaign” page for the horrific details on what goes on there! You will be horrifies and you will wonder why a Christian Organisation could have possibly sold this ship of “Help and Hope” to become a Ship of “Desperation and Death” and I am being very realistic!
